The Gift of Life: "Leave a Legacy"
For online donations, Priests for Life Canada has partnered with CanadaHelps.org, a not-for-profit charity portal and a registered public foundation that seeks to promote and facilitate philanthropy through on-line giving. CanadaHelps.org offers its services at no cost to the charity or the donor. Donors are given the option of making a no-obligation contribution to CanadaHelps.org when they process their online donation to Priests for Life Canada. We thank CanadaHelps.org for offering this service.
How do I donate online?
All you have to do is click the 'donate now' button above and follow the instructions. All information entered is strictly confidential and securely protected. The information you enter will only be provided to Priests for Life Canada (unless you prefer to remain anonymous - see below).
Can donors make monthly recurring donations online?
Yes. The same method applies. You will be asked if you would like to make a monthly recurring donation when you process your gift.
Am I intitled to "Free Gift Offers" for donations I make online?
YES. From time-to-time Priests for Life acknowledges donations with FREE THANK YOU GIFTS. Those who give recurring monthly donations qualify to automatically receive all free gift offers. Please ask for your free gift when making a donation.
How do donors get a receipt for online donations?
Donations made through the CanadaHelps.org Web site are treated in the same way as regular receiptable charitable donations. The Canadian Customs and Revenue Agency has approved the use of electronic tax receipts. Usually within minutes of successfully completing a donation, the donor receives an e-mail notification confirming the transaction an a tax receipt can be printed. Because CanadaHelps.org is a registered public foundation, donors are e-receipted for a donation to CanadaHelps.org. The donation is processed and funds are directed to Priests for Life Canada's bank account. You have the option of printing out the receipt immediately or leaving it on file until the end of the year. Additional copies, if needed, can also be printed. Adobe reader, a free program on most computers, is used to print the receipt. Click this logo to download Adobe Reader.
Can donors make an anonymous donation online?
Yes. All that is required is that the donor checks the appropriate box when prompted and anonymity is guaranteed.
