Priests for Life Canada Condemns Murder of U.S. Abortionist

Rev. Fr. Thomas Lynch, and the board of Priests for Life Canada issues the following statement about the slaying of Dr. George Tiller at a Wichita, Kansas church on Sunday, May 31, 2009:
As a Canadian nationwide organization dedicated to peaceful and prayerful solutions to the crisis of abortion, Priests for Life Canada is saddened at hearing of the killing of Dr. George Tiller, a late-term abortionist working at the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic in Wichita, Kansas.
Priests for Life Canada continues to insist on a culture in which violence is never seen as the solution to the abortion situation. All human life must be protected from conception through to natural death, without regard to age, views, or actions. This includes the lives of all those involved in supporting and/or providing abortions. Priests for Life Canada clearly opposes this senseless act of violence. We encourage people of faith to join in prayer for the family and friends of Dr. George Tiller.
