Catholic Groups and individuals are urged to support the effort

The Natural Family Planning poster is a wonderful tool to help your pastor promote family planning.

Priests for Life Canada (PFLC), a national organization of clergy and laity dedicated to the pro-life cause, hopes to place a free copy of the Natural Family Planning poster into the hands of all Canadian pastors. This poster is dedicated to the memory of Fr. Jim Whalen, former National Director of PFLC who wasted no opportunity to promote Natural Family Planning.

“We’re calling on all Catholic groups across Canada to support us in this effort”, said Fr. Jim. “A very generous donor has given us enough money to get the program started but we need the support of Knights of Columbus Councils, the Catholic Women’s League, Pro-life groups, and all groups who support efforts to reduce contraception and eventually convince more Catholics of the benefits of Natural Family Planning". Catholic organizations are encouraged to make the distribution of the Natural Family Planning poster one of their special projects of the year during 2008, the 40th anniversary of Humanae Vitae, an encyclical by Pope Paul VI on the regulation of birth. Groups, as well as individuals, are urged to join this effort by sending support funds to Priests for Life Canada, P.O. Box 43, Cumberland, ON K4C 1E5. A tax receipt will be issued.

 Prêtres Pro-Vie Canada (PPVC), une organisation nationale composée de membres du clergé et de laïcs consacrés à la défense de la vie espère mettre entre les mains de tous les pasteurs du Canada un exemplaire gratuit d’une affiche sur le Planning familial naturel. Cette affiche est dédiée à la mémoire du père Jim Whalen, ancien directeur de PPVC qui ne perdait jamais une occasion de promouvoir le Planning familial naturel.

 « Nous faisons appel à tous les groupes catholiques du Canada pour nous appuyer dans cette action », disait le père Jim. « Un donateur très généreux nous a permis de démarrer ce projet, mais nous avons besoin du soutien des conseils des Chevaliers de Colomb, de la Ligue des femmes catholiques, des groupes pro-vie et de tous les groupes qui appuient notre action pour réduire la contraception et convaincre finalement plus de catholiques des bienfaits du Planning familial naturel. » Les organisations catholiques sont incitées à faire de la distribution de l’affiche sur le Planning familial naturel un de leurs projets favoris pour l’année 2008, 40^e anniversaire de l’encyclique Humanae vitae du Pape Paul VI sur la régulation des naissances.
